For Individual Job Seekers
The Utah Legislature provides Short-Term Intensive Training (STIT) funds for Utah State residents who enroll in specific non-credit, short-term training courses. These funds cover 50% of the course cost and are available until depleted. At that point, the course cost will return to the regular cost. STIT funding is for individual job seekers. For Employers
Using funds provided by the Utah State Legislature, Custom Fit provides short-term, non-credit training designed to grow, train, and retain an efficient and productive workforce. For-profit companies can use these funds to share the cost of incumbent worker training. Apply for Custom Fit funds to determine eligibility.
Learn and eperience the basic process of designing, installing and commissioning a commercial grid-tied PV system. Complete 4 hours of online course work prior to the hands-on lab activity which will be held the last Saturday of each month through November.
Certification offers the public a high degree of protection because practitioners have to voluntarily meet standards and qualifications and pass an exam.
Promotes consumer confidence and differentiates the certificate holder from competitors
Validates extra resources spent on training and gaining experience
Allows for installer mobility as the market moves from state to state
Yes, workshops have been approved through NABCEP to provide CEU credits for both PVIP and PVS certification holders. Check each course for the specific credits to earn.
Also approved through UTAH DOPL for re-licensing credits for both Electricians and Contractors.
